This blog could just as easily be called FRESH VIEWPOINTS.
My purpose is to stretch both your mind, as well as my own, with ideas that break out of the existing paradigms. A paradigm, according to The American Heritage Dictionary, is "The conceptual framework that permits the explanation and investigation of phenomena or the objects of study in a field of inquiry.
"Let's go back in time a few hundred years...back when "everyone knew that the Earth was flat." All scientific ideas had to fit within that paradigm. A paradigm will continue to exist, and shape human thought, UNTIL some brave soul wanders out of the collective error and proposes an idea that if correct will tear the old paradigm apart and replace it with a new one.
The only problem is most people feel comfortable with the old paradigm. New ideas are scary. "If it's not broke don't fix it." Or, "that's the way we've always done it." Often it's easier to kill or imprison the person with the new idea than to change. The old saying, "you can always spot a pioneer, they're the one with an arrow in their back" is all to true.
So, fully aware that I'm painting a big target on my back, I feel compelled to push forward. I believe we are at a pivotal point in our evolution and we desperately need to tear down the obselete paradigms and evolve...regardless of how much pain society must endure.
I cannot state with 100% certainty that all of the "fresh viewpoints" I have presented in my book, CLASH OF SOULS, (and will present through this blog site), are correct...afterall this a evolving growth process for me as well. But I will make you think. I will challenge many existing ideas and beliefs, and hopefully, an idea or two will survive and have a profound change in the way we humans interact with one another.

Hello Bill. I'm a friend of Jeff, Todd and Brenda. Jeff and I are housemates and just told me to google your book. I haven't read it yet, but did read your bio and blog. I love the way you communicate about having an open-minded skepticism. And also the fact that we should question authority (my interpretation of what you say in your bio) and the "pap" we've been fed by organized religion, government and the paltry skimming of education that's offered in public schools. And I agree with you about the inadequacies of info that is spoon fed to the gentry via religious orgs, government and inept public school education.
